Background:

To develop visual communication skills through the use of the photographic medium. Analysis and production of images is the focus for the course. Use of 35 mm SLR cameras and associated technical equipment. The processing of Black and White photographs to a quality standard. The use of skills to produce personal work of a creative and thematic nature. Analysis of historical and contemporary photography. Assessed by practical and written assessments.

Some or all of the following will be offerred:

Entry Requirements:

12 level 1 English AS credits or 16 Level 1 English US credits. Manual 35 mm SLR camera, ART1 a useful background.

Course Fees:

Approximately $200 throughout year.
